About us

Hi, we're Jennifer, Mareesha & Rebecca AKA The Wonder Squad.

Who We Are

Daily Wonder was created by three moms who are also experienced Waldorf teachers and administrators.

Before Daily Wonder existed, we helped build and run a Waldorf school where our own children attended. We spent years teaching in classrooms, shaping curriculum, holding rhythm, and walking alongside families as educators.

Then, like many others, the pandemic shifted everything.

As schools closed and daily life changed, we found ourselves homeschooling our own children. What began as a necessity slowly became something we deeply loved. We saw firsthand how learning could live differently in the home, how rhythm could soften, how relationships could deepen, and how education could become more human.

Daily Wonder grew from this place.

We created it so parents could bring the heart of Waldorf education to their kitchen table with confidence, clarity, and ease, without needing to be trained teachers themselves.

What We Care About

At the heart of Daily Wonder is a simple belief: Honouring childhood matters.

We believe childhood is not a race toward outcomes, but a time for wonder, imagination, movement, and meaning. When children are given space to wonder daily, something essential is protected, and something hopeful is planted for the future.

Our mission is rooted in this belief: to support parents in reclaiming childhood as a foundation for a more compassionate and responsible world.

Daily Wonder curriculum is:

  • Waldorf-inspired and developmentally aligned

  • Integrated across subjects rather than siloed

  • Culturally diverse and inclusive

  • Rooted in story, rhythm, and human connection

  • Thoughtfully aligned with grade-level learning standards

Through stories, biographies, myths, and lived experiences, we invite children to encounter humanity in all its diversity, past and present and to grow empathy, curiosity, and responsibility along the way.

How Daily Wonder Works

Daily Wonder brings academics through story, hands-on activities, movement, and the performing, visual, and practical arts.

Our curriculum is designed to guide the morning lesson, offering clear structure without rigidity. Lessons are delivered to the parents' membership hub and can be used on your computer or printed, allowing families to work in the way that best suits their rhythm.

Daily Wonder does not replace the parent.

It relies on you.

The curriculum comes to life through your presence, your relationship with your child, and your willingness to begin where you are. We hold the structure so you can hold the connection.

Why We’re Here

We find ourselves at a unique moment in time. More families are discovering that homeschooling is not only possible, but deeply meaningful.

Daily Wonder exists for parents who are searching for something thoughtful and human, curriculum that supports both their child’s development and their own confidence as a guide.

We know from experience that when parents feel supported, learning can unfold with more ease, trust, and joy. Daily Wonder is here to walk alongside you as you courageously meet your child’s educational needs with intention and care.

You don’t need to do everything.
You don’t need to do it perfectly.
You just need a place to begin.

We’re glad you found your way here.

Meet the Wonder Women

Rebecca Watkin

Curriculum Writer

As a child, Rebecca always knew she would be a teacher. As a young woman, she earned a BA from Simon Fraser University and, shortly thereafter, attended the Rudolf Steiner Centre to earn her teaching credentials.   She worked in Waldorf schools on the mainland of BC and on South Vancouver Island from 2002 onward. After teaching for many years and parenting young daughters, she returned to school at Vancouver Island University to receive a Master's degree in Educational Leadership.

As a founder of Comox Valley Waldorf School, Rebecca worked there for nine years as a Class teacher, Subject teacher and Collective Leadership team member. She worked with a small group of dedicated parents and teachers to bring her dream of Waldorf in the Valley to fruition. Her most recent role at CVWS was that of Principal. In this role, she placed Waldorf curriculum goals and practices into the conversation about the transformation of education in BC.

Rebecca is a bold innovator with a passion for policy! Her time as Principal at Comox Valley Waldorf School coincided with the rollout of the new BC Ministry of Education Curriculum. This progressive, integrated public curriculum combines the BC Ministry Learning Standards, social-emotional intelligence, and the First Peoples Principles of Learning. As a leader of a partially funded independent school, Rebecca guided and inspired her faculty by integrating the BC curriculum with Waldorf education and principles. This process was instrumental in learning how to build clearer communication between the 100-year foundation of Waldorf education and the educational language of today.

More recently, Rebecca has focused on her work in educational leadership to support Waldorf Schools in North America. One of these roles was with the West Coast Institute for Studies in Anthroposophy as an Instructor in the Waldorf Grades Teacher training. She brought subjects such as language arts, history, mythology, and more to Waldorf teachers-in-training. Additionally, Rebecca works for AWSNA (Association of Waldorf Schools of North America) in her role with Waldorf Collectives: groups of schools that collaborate on various projects. Rebecca facilitates the collaborative work of these groups and loves the dynamic of working together to further the reach of Waldorf education.

With this experience as her backdrop, Rebecca is excited to share this knowledge and practice through Daily Wonder.

Jennifer Ross

Curriculum Writer

Jennifer is a creative, free spirit who is balanced by a deep sense of responsibility. Jennifer graduated from McGill University with a BA in English and Cultural Studies, studied in Israel and then travelled extensively. During this time, her love of poetry, music and dance flourished. With an interest in Eastern and Western philosophies, the yogic path, and finding a meaningful connection to Spirit, she looked for life’s work to incorporate all these elements. She found her calling in Waldorf Education, training at the Rudolf Steiner Centre in Toronto in 2001. Jennifer’s first teaching position was at Alan Howard Waldorf Academy in Toronto, where she carried a class from Grade Two until the end of Grade Five, finishing in 2006 to begin her own family.

Jennifer has two beautiful children and, with them, moved to the Comox Valley to join the Comox Valley Waldorf School when the doors officially opened in 2011. Over the years, she served as a Class teacher, Subject teacher, and part of the Collective Leadership team as Faculty Director. In addition, she was a mentor for the Rudolf Steiner Centre teacher training program and has offered courses in Biography Work related to personal development.

Jennifer is currently teaching students and supporting learning pods using Daily Wonder curriculum. She continues to share her love of poetry, music, and dance through women’s workshops, spoken word performances, DJing, and facilitating ecstatic dance classes.

Jennifer is certain that the world is ready for Daily Wonder and is inspired to be part of offering this cutting-edge education that is now accessible to all.

Mareesha Nesling

Design Administrator

Mareesha is an optimistic, action-oriented social butterfly. Her fast-paced energy gets things done with full efficiency. She brings multi-tasking to a new level with skills in videography, editing, web design and marketing.

Mareesha served as the Comox Valley Waldorf School Administrator and Board Director for 9 years. As a result, she was able to bring together all her social, creative and tech skills into one fulfilling position.

In her previous life, before working at CVWS, she was a restaurant owner and worked as a theatrical Stage Manager in Vancouver for over ten years. Indeed, her most important job is being a mother to three children, all of whom attended the Comox Valley Waldorf School. Mareesha gets a lot of joy from roller-skating, hiking, swimming in the rivers and lakes of Comox Valley and camping in the summer with her family. A key ingredient to her personal fulfillment is building community. She values sharing the highs and lows of parenting, homeschooling and being human, as well as offering a village for her children.

Currently, she homeschools her youngest child and helps jump-start other small businesses with her design and tech skills. She recently created a website for the BC Waldorf School Collective, bringing her love of Waldorf, design and school policies into one beautiful, creative project. She continues to find joy in graphic and website design for a variety of prominent companies.

She knows that there are already enough things to do in a day, so she is so excited to give parents a guided and supportive tool to make their lives easier when choosing to homeschool. Mareesha aims to ensure parents have a smooth, user-friendly experience on Daily Wonder’s online hub and other digital platforms. She hopes you love what you see and feel a sense of belonging with Daily Wonder.
